If you would like to talk to a Company who is currently using Phoenix systems in production, we will be happy to provide you with those contacts.
We always welcome feedback from our customers!
After all you are the barometer as to how our products are working in the field.
Below are some comments from a few of our customers. Please take a minute to read them. We are proud that they confirm what we already know... Our Systems are the easiest to use, the best built and most well thought-out systems in the industry.
I cannot thank you enough for the help with buying, assembling, and operating your system.
I knew I was venturing into a different way of doing fiberglass when I researched chopper vs. hand laid.
I am a complete amateur at all things fiberglass but knew my hand laid, labor intensive endeavor was going to beat me down.
After a couple of hiccups (see the resin pool pictures!), Scott got me dialed in.
Every single person I spoke to at your company knows the true meaning of customer service.
I am sure you will be hearing from me as things will pop up that need attention, but I cannot be more pleased.
All I can say is that I did a section of my project hand laid and I just did 2 layers on a new section using the LF1.
Each layer hand laid...1-2 hours. Wasted mat and resin. LF1 did it in 10 minutes!
1st section I did hand laid looks like a 1st grader did it with blindfolds on. Section using LF1 looks like a semi-professional did it!
Anyway, thanks again
I've had my hands on their equipment and can tell you its impressive! A+ system! -Michael Cirasuolo
We love the two new Gelcoaters. Excellent engineering and already saving money and hopefully first on many to come!! -Composite Dimensions SA
I have been everywhere with your chopper gun system. From Japan, guam, saipan, hawaii, oregon, california, washington, and now new york and conneticut and maine. Your chopper gun is really cool. Your machine works well. I probably put it thru the worst kind of condition possible. I never use the machine indoors. I’ve used it in the snow, rain, and really humid areas.
-AB Experts California
Can’t say enough about the customer service. Friendly, timely and perfect.
-Ron Cook-Bonefish Boatworks
We have used the system on the road on 3 separate jobs and currently have quotes out
on 3 jobs. It has more than paid for itself at this point. It has eliminated waste of materials, material cutting time and actually enabled us to do jobs we wouldn't have been able to do. We have been able to offer an alternative to our clients (one in particular) that makes their safety and environmental department very happy.
Great company with both friendly and knowledgeable people.
The machine has been a huge asset to us and has worked well!
Top notch gel coat spray and fiberglass systems. I was an early adopter of their Apollo spray gun and have had it now for at least 10+ years. Guns and system are easy to maintain and fix. If there is a problem Scott is always very easy to get a hold of and can solve my problem over the phone and/or with a quick ship part. If you are considering going with one of the well known guys, you need to give Scott a call first. When I finally kill this overbuilt bullet proof piece of equipment...I will get another one.
Thanks a bunch. Your equipment is working fantastic. The guys love it.
-Brad Flater-OBX Boatworks
The guys are happy with the impergnator and it is doing well. They are seeing a big difference in the amount of resin being used and in the wet out time vs. laying up the fiberglass by hand.
I just wanted to give a quick "thank you" to Scott. I am the new owner of an Apollo System. I am new to using a chopper gun and was having trouble getting things lined out. Scott bent over backwards to get me going and transition in to using a chopper gun for my storm shelter business. A great company and great guy! Thanks again!

On behalf of the Auburn University Hovercraft Team (also known as the Hovering Tigers), I would like to thank you for refurbishing our chopper gun. On Saturday, March 15th, we took first place in the 2014 Hoverbowl Challenge against the University of Alabama. The Hovering Tigers have worked extremely hard all year to achieve this goal, but our success would not be possible without your help.
Our latest project, constructing a hovercraft from original designs, proved to be quite the challenge. To begin, we built wooden frames from which we shaped our fiberglass molds. Naturally, we used the chopper gun that you repaired and refurbished to form the majority of our molds, saving both time and energy. Unfortunately, due to time limitations we were unable to race our newest craft at the hoverbowl. However, we look forward to using our newly regurbished chopper gun again in our next project.
Thank you again for your generosity towards our program. At Auburn University, the hovercraft team benefits its members, assembling from a wide range of disciplines, with valuable experience solving problems and working with a team. As students, we are incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in such a unique program. Mr. and Mrs. McGehee, thank you for helping to give us this opportunity and we hope for your continued support.
-Mary Palmer Cook-Auburn University
I love the gun it works well too good I don't have enough molds I get done with my work too
fast. Customer support with Scott is great he does what it takes to help keep me going. I will be looking for a gelcoat system around income tax time.

At the very first out set we introduce our self as as a leading Pipe Coating contractor handling High Performance coatings like 100% Epoxy, Elastomeric PU, PolyUreas, PolyEster Glass Flake, Vinyl Ester GlassFlake etc, typically DFT ranging from 1000 microns to 4000 microns and Distributor of Phoenix Composite equipment,USA, Fuji resins,Japan and Cipy PolyUrethanes,India.
Intially we did extensive research on Composite Equipment and its reliability, Accuracy and its Cost & Downtime. Finally we found Phoenix is much better and meets all our requirements. * ***** itself is not a Expert in Composite Materials like what you are looking for, because ***** bought out a Pump Manufacturing company called " **********". In general the machines are 1) Expensive, 2) Catalyst Pump LEAKING at Throat, hence poor accuracy of catalyst mixing results to form a uncured composite layers, more rework and rejection, which are expensive and hectic time taking process, 3) Regular ***** Distributor can not Supply *****-Composite Pumps & Parts. Because ***** deputes separate line of sales & distribution, which takes a lot of lead time. * *** has some level of specialization but has in accuracy in catalyst handling 1) Lead/Lag of catalyst, 2) Complicated parts, 3) Very Expensive in India almost three times when compared with Phoenix pumps. * Phoenix has many advantages like 1) No Leak Catalyst Pump, 2) Very nearer to Mother Cylinder and generates very perpendicular pumping action in Catalyst pump, and results Longer Life of catalyst pump, 3) Air Motor retardation duration is very minimum and reciprocates faster on response (it is very important in our Pipe Internal coating plant where we need consistent Pressure and steady paint material flow, 4) High Pressure Internal Mixing of composite materials (***** do not recommend more than 2000 psi) where as we are working at 2800 - 3500 psi, 5) Competitive price 6) Resin Pump packing on your choice ( for Pure resin handling / Highly abrasive fluids like Resin having Glass flakes). In India we do not push Phoenix pump just for mere sales / competition. Phoenix pump has its own stand and quality. Very big Customers from Aviation sector, GRP pipe manufacturers, Composite molders, Windmill blade manufacturers are our regular buyer, where they need reliability. Phoenix is First choice in Indian Composite Industry.
We really enjoy working with your products. The quality and the price of your systems is just great. My workers love it.
-Andreas Mader-Bootswerft Mader GmbH Waging am See, Germany
Only gun I've bought and used. I've had it for 9 years and absolutely love it! Extremely user friendly and easy to maintain.
-Trevor Sherrich-Calyber Boatworks Edenton, NC
Phoenix Equipment is great, the customer service is outstanding. I used to hot pot when I hand layed a boat, not any more. I never used a wet out system before, and had never been around one to see how they work. Getting in touch with Scott on New Years day, PRICELESS. With Scott and Lauren you can't go wrong.
-Smith Custom Boats
We collected the system and had no problems at all. We used it and am very very happy with the system and your co operative service. Im sure we ll do other buisnesses with your company. Thanks so much Joswe'
-Joswe` Spiteri, Tal-Fenek Boatyard-Malta
I had a quote from *** last year, about the same time I started bugging you. He's kept in constant contact with me since then. Well today I told him I went with Phoenix, Wrong word to say. I don't know what Scott did but he doesn't like him. He said "junk equipment and the worst service". Well, if being able to get customer service on January 1st is the "Worst Service", I'll buy from you all day long. The unit works great, I love the simplicity of it.
-Scott Smith-Tempe, AZ
Your Pump is Great Monster to have. ELF is a Gift along with. Absolutely No Issues
We have a Phoenix System and one of their "competitor" systems working side by side. My Guys love the Phoenix system. It is as good or better than the competitors system and we saved some money when we purchased it, so there is no doubt that when it comes time to purchase a new system, we will be going to Phoenix.
-Dick V. @ Maine Cat
The equipment has saved approx 10 kg of gel-coat vis roller & brush with fair bit of this being wastage in buckets etc and 2 hours time saving on over 1st layer layup.
I am very pleased with the system and will keep you updated on final hull release and next use.
In my honest opinion, Phoenix is the best Fiberglass equipment on the market! The Phoenix 5000 Series Gun is very well designed and ergonomic.
Great System, if my guys can't tear it up, it must be well made.
"Scully uses vinyl ester resin to build large parts. Our Phoenix system has been real reliable over the past year. We use it as both a gelcoater and chopper and when I need to call, I always get quick customer service."
- Rick Graf @ Scully Boats
Very easy to work with, very helpful, will go out of their way to help you...
-R. Middleton, FL
Very professional system, superbe matériel très professionnel, merci
